Harley-Davidson has unveiled the 2025 Fat Boy® Gray Ghost, a limited-edition motorcycle celebrating the 35th anniversary of the iconic Fat Boy model. This special edition pays homage to the original 1990 Fat Boy, famously featured in Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and is set to arrive in Australia soon.
A Tribute to a Legend
The Fat Boy Gray Ghost is the fifth instalment in Harley-Davidson’s Icons Motorcycle Collection, designed to Honor the brand’s most legendary models. Limited to just 1,990 units worldwide and only a 100 coming to Australia, this model commemorates the year the original Fat Boy was introduced. Striking Design and Finish
The Gray Ghost features a revolutionary “Reflection” finish, achieved through Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), giving the motorcycle a mirror-like chrome appearance. This is the first time Harley-Davidson has applied PVD to large components like the tank and fenders, resulting in a stunning, polished look.
Additional design elements include:
- Yellow accents on the engine, reminiscent of the original 1990 model.
- A round air cleaner, echoing the classic design.
- A silver powder-coated frame and leather seat valance with lacing and tassels, adding to its vintage appeal.

Under the hood, the Gray Ghost is powered by the Milwaukee-Eight® 117 engine, delivering approximately 101 horsepower at 4,800 rpm and 122 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm. This engine provides robust performance, making it suitable for both city cruising and long-distance rides.
