Update on the Administration of the Harley Heaven Brand in Australia
The Administrators of the Harley Heaven Brand are pleased to announce that, following a competitive sale process, the majority of the company’s retail network will be acquired by new ownership, securing a strong future for the iconic Harley-Davidson brand across Australia.
New Owners for Victorian Locations
The Joe Rascal Group, led by James Tonna and Barry Fitzpatrick, will acquire three Harley Heaven dealerships in Victoria:
- Harley Heaven Dandenong
- Harley Heaven Ringwood
- Harley Heaven Melbourne
“We are thrilled to be acquiring these stores and forming a partnership with such a legendary brand like Harley-Davidson,” said Mr Tonna. “These dealerships have built strong reputations for quality and customer service. We look forward to integrating their talented teams and continuing to grow and innovate in the years ahead.”
Motorcycle Holdings Ltd Expands Nationally
In addition, ASX-listed Motorcycle Holdings Ltd (ASX: MTO) will acquire four Harley Heaven outlets located across New South Wales, Western Australia, and South Australia:
- Harley Heaven Sydney
- Harley Heaven Penrith
- Harley Heaven Perth
- Harley Heaven Adelaide
Motorcycle Holdings Ltd CEO, Matthew Wiesner, confirmed the company’s intention to retain and strengthen the Harley Heaven brand.
“We plan to build on the brand’s legacy and long-standing customer relationships. These new locations will benefit from our national scale, robust supplier relationships, and the ongoing support of our corporate team,” Mr Wiesner said.
A Positive Outcome for Staff and Customers
Craig Shepard of Korda Mentha, one of the Administrators, said the transactions represent a positive outcome for the business, its employees, and Harley-Davidson enthusiasts.
“We are pleased to have secured two highly capable and experienced buyers in the Joe Rascal Group and Motorcycle Holdings Ltd. These sales will ensure business continuity and retain approximately 250 jobs across the country.”
Next Steps and Transition Timeline
Final completion of the sales is subject to several conditions, including regulatory approvals from relevant motor dealer licensing authorities in each state. All parties are working collaboratively to complete the process by mid-July.
Bankstown Store Closure
Unfortunately, the Harley Heaven Bankstown dealership will be closed, as no suitable offers were received. The Administrators will work closely with affected employees to provide support during the transition.
